You ever think maybe they're taking a stance because it's something they truly believe in?
Sure
And then I see their blatant hypocrisy and realize that they're really just making decisions based on the most vocal critics, as most of us sit around and go "whatever UA, I'll still buy whatever stuff I was going to buy before."
I hate irrational decisions in the business context. If this were part of their corporate culture, I wouldn't complain. Nobody is going to roll their eyes when Patagonia does this, it's a fundamental part of their business philosophy. The same is not true of UA, as exhibited by this developing slowly and after considerable pressure.

I think that for them specifically, they flat out capitulated. He made a relatively innocuous statement that was modestly supportive of Trump and his panel, but so did Elon Musk. The company has been reeling recently. Their CFO left and they guided down hard... they have botched PR big league from a financial perspective. It wasn't just growth but also execution for them. Plank seems to have melted. I'm not a Musk fanboy, but he looks a hell of a lot better than this cuck.
It's pretty fricking ridiculous that a business man can't say that a business man as the President is an asset without catching a bunch of shite from people.
It's not like he said that Trump is the best President ever and can do no wrong. All he said was having a business minded President could be an asset. And somehow the conservatives are labelled the snowflakes in this situation?

I don't give a shite, you know because opinions and what not. Their political views don't affect me in the least. Therefore, when I need some new clothing and I find UA that I like, I'll get it simply for the reason stated above. I think the real pussies are those who let this kind of shite get to them.

Trump is using the people on the "economic advisory council" to engender support outside of his absolutely stupid base. Musk, naively, still thinks he can influence policy by remaining in the group. He can't. The only influence entering Trump's brain is from Miller & Bannon. The whole thing is a farce. But these CEO's want to think they're important (snowflakes), so they remain until their customers brow-beat them into - I dunno - reality. You are right in that this was a capitulation, and different from AB, 84 Lumber, and the other companies who have always been on the sane side of things.

You mean the attack that was perpetrated by one person born in the US and another legal resident from Pakistan (not one of the 7 included countries)?

frick, gotta get out of this stock with the quickness.
they'll get acquired soon because of this dumb shite. their value was already plummeting, then this.

I get where you are coming from, but I actually disagree. Trump doesn't really have opinions on most issues and is known to be influenced by whoever he spoke to last. Musk can try to have some influence on Trump's opinion on subsidies for both solar panels and his space stuff.

100%.
On both sides.
This country has turned into a big, sandy vagina with soft skin.

frick Under Armor.
What's BCG's stance on Trump?
I don't care! They're about 10% the cost of that UA crap and they absorb my sweat all the same.

that example was just picked from the air.
if something like that involving people from the "7 countries" happened at an Under Armor office. Would they feel differently?

Sorry we can't all be as learned as you. It must be hard to live each day with such a heavy burden of being so much smarter than the rest of America. If I were you I would move to another continent so you could surround yourself with colleagues of a similar IQ level.

You are ignorant.
Melting is complaining about how life is unfair, or one side is evil, and the like, etc etc..
Stating that business and politics don't mix is not the same thing.
Again, you are ignorant.

Are you stupid? UA along with just about every other clothing brand is selling the vast majority of their product in major cities. They probably sell to more immigrants than they do to hillbillies in rural American

I never understood why these companies decide to come out and alienate half of their customer base. If I was one of their shareholders I would be throwing a fit.
Because nobody will remember it 5 days from now. Just like everyone forgot that Nike said the same thing.
