Finding people to testify won't be hard. I'm sure there are numerous friends of his that own/work in bars that will gladly give no fricks about testifying against the sheriff

The problem is the Sheriff was acting on authority from the Governor.

I bet this thing gets dismissed with the quickness.

I bet this whole thing gets resolved with a conference with the judge and all parties. Curfew will be lifted tomorrow.

What about the lawsuit against him for sexually assaulting that girl recently?

They've already changed it to midnight to 6am. That seems reasonable.

Ole boy wants to litigate his lost income from the 10pm-6am curfew that lasted a day or two. It ain't happening. Sid went above Kip, but he still followed the law. And the law is going to give elected officials wide discretionary powers in times like this. This suit was for media consumption. Downvote away

Is bullshite that after demoing houses all day someone can't go have some drinks to unwind and has to go home

I understand the basis for the lawsuit but complaining that you have to drink at home instead of a bar is a pretty weak argument

I'm pretty sure it was solely to prevent people from looting and to speed up their relief efforts. Which is a bigger pain in the arse for them then it is for people not being able to get their bud light at the bar. Why do people feel so entitled.

So bc he didn't we should make sure he does lose something?

He owns a bar, people want to drink. Neither are illegal

Make certain areas have a curfew, like neighborhoods with damage. Not the entire city

Yeah this was basically free advertising for the cost of a filing fee.

What if he did lose everything and his sources of income are now being forced to remain closed?

Yes, we are so entitled to be able to enjoy free movement in our supposedly free country. Sorry some people enjoy exercising liberty.

Executive orders (especially in SOE) obviously supersede any perceived movement rights you think you have.
