UHigh - University Lab School problems!

Something's Rotten at the Top:
Since booting Kevin George, Interim Administrator Rob Lyles has apparently made employee terminations his new favorite pastime. It’s been a veritable firing frenzy since the start of the year—names dropped with the precision of a dartboard strategy. Thursdays and Fridays seem to be the preferred hit days (how subtle), almost as if someone’s trying to keep things under the radar of the media or labor boards.
The working theory? The school’s bleeding money, and the grand plan is to gut experienced staff and swap in cheaper replacements. So much for all that heartfelt praise at the 2024 graduation—remember the speeches about excellence and community? Yeah, neither do they.
This reeks of a slow-motion implosion. If there’s a vision for the future of this campus, it’s being scribbled on the back of a napkin. Somebody better start asking hard questions—because right now, it’s starting to look like nobody’s job is safe, and the school is headed straight for the iceberg

How many times are you going to start this thread?

I didn't know U-High was in Germany.

So what else should be done that would fix the problem other than reducing the biggest expense (staff)?
This feels like people being mad a Musk for trying to reduce deficit by cutting Fed jobs. As if we have some other non-mean way to reduce spending.

Who cares about this petty bullshite?

I thank God everyday my kid wasn’t good enough to go there.

Reduce the number of kids on scholarships, cut funding for extra curricular activities, oh and reduce non-teaching staff roles.

So, on that thread about "how are you using Chat GPT?" you can add "to punch up rants about U-High's principal."

I know someone who's kids go there and I know it's because of their daddy's connections and the kids are all overweight. That's all I got.

Sounds like a bullshite theory dreamed up by someone who got fired and doesn’t want to look in the mirror to reflect on how they may have been a problem.

Sounds like a woman. Either he's gay or you're gay.

Why are people so pressed about a k-12 school in the first place?
That being said, the Interim Director is not making these decisions on his own. He answers to the Dean of LSU CHSE who answers to the President, who answers to the Board of Supervisors who answer to the governor of our state.
The amount of politics and prominent parents that surround that place is astounding.
Is the school bleeding money, maybe, maybe not.
I do know under the previous Director, there were a number of families he allowed to go months and years without being forced to pay tuition or being kicked out of school. I’ve heard that the current Interim has been working to right that ship and recoup unpaid tuition dollars. The interim was put in place to clean house and get that school where it needs to be or at least move it to the right direction.
It does suck that there have been so many terminations, no one wants to see someone lose their job.

To the contrary....all the pieces that were broken from the previous administration are now being put back together.

ah, the mythical "labor board ..."
The only "labor board" is the National Labor Relations Board which has nothing to do with what you described.
