Yup. frick, I joke around here when the cheating threads come up here, but this is a poster. I'm sorry he's going through this, but his post about being focused on her friends and girls weekends is a major red flag for infidelity. This thread makes me sad.

Have to agree here based on my own experience. Not saying it is the case here but unfortunately, it is extremely common.

Also, losing parents changes a person in massive ways. She is 1000% not dealing with her depression. Not sure if you have your parents still but it’s extremely hard for one who still has their parents to relate to those who have lost them. It makes the grief and depression even more challenging at times.
Express Care on Sherwood Forest. Been using them for over 20 years. Jason over there is honest and reliable.
I originally thought he might be asked to step back in the interminable Provost role and eventually made permanent. This is better. I’ve worked with him during his time as interim provost and he’s got great institutional knowledge that I hope helps him excel in his new role.
So, CrusherOfDreams, are you still upset? Especially now that Mr. Lyles has been officially named permanent Director?

Something's Rotten at the Top: Since booting Kevin George, Interim Administrator Rob Lyles has apparently made employee terminations his new favorite pastime. It’s been a veritable firing frenzy since the start of the year—names dropped with the precision of a dartboard strategy. Thursdays and Fridays seem to be the preferred hit days (how subtle), almost as if someone’s trying to keep things under the radar of the media or labor boards. The working theory? The school’s bleeding money, and the grand plan is to gut experienced staff and swap in cheaper replacements. So much for all that heartfelt praise at the 2024 graduation—remember the speeches about excellence and community? Yeah, neither do they. This reeks of a slow-motion implosion. If there’s a vision for the future of this campus, it’s being scribbled on the back of a napkin. Somebody better start asking hard questions—because right now, it’s starting to look like nobody’s job is safe, and the school is headed straight for the iceberg

This post reeks of chatGPT usage.

Rob Lyles has been a positive addition to that school. Yes, there have been some firings, removals of addition admin duties from some and non renewal of contracts, but there is a reason for this. It is not really the business of random public nor should it matter unless it was truly a wrongful termination. Alas, we are an at will state.

Folks were hesitant of him at first but all I have heard was positive feedback about his leadership in this short time.

Sounds like you feel you have been personally victimized by him and want to drag his name through the mud. It’s not working.

Covid money is gone, students are majoring in education at LSU

False.
The number of education majors at LSU is at an all time low.

There have been some firings or notices their contracts will not be renewed after next year. Also, they require their teachers to have a Masters degree, or they have to obtain one within so many years of their hire, if they do not, they can be let go.
Why are people so pressed about a k-12 school in the first place?

That being said, the Interim Director is not making these decisions on his own. He answers to the Dean of LSU CHSE who answers to the President, who answers to the Board of Supervisors who answer to the governor of our state.

The amount of politics and prominent parents that surround that place is astounding.

Is the school bleeding money, maybe, maybe not.

I do know under the previous Director, there were a number of families he allowed to go months and years without being forced to pay tuition or being kicked out of school. I’ve heard that the current Interim has been working to right that ship and recoup unpaid tuition dollars. The interim was put in place to clean house and get that school where it needs to be or at least move it to the right direction.

It does suck that there have been so many terminations, no one wants to see someone lose their job.
LSU is a state agency so I would lean to say yes. I would hope it will be addressed at some point in the near future.
There is a professor/Director at LSU who wears LSU Hey Dudes with khaki pants with LSU logo all over them….. how does anyone take that seriously. I saw him at an event on campus not long ago in that getup. I mean, to each his own but how does one take that seriously? I love LSU gear but not tacky gear.
I use this intersection twice a day during the work week. There no blinking yellow left turn arrows. There are two left turn lanes where the car was coming from, their lights are to the far left of the lights for folks going straight. It is a wide intersection.

The video shows she appeared to hesitate before turning. Unfortunately, we will never know why she did not just wait for the green arrow.
The car had red lights. That intersection does not have blinking yellow arrows.
