About seven months after the death of UCLA professor Doran George at age 48, autopsy information surfaced by a Los Angeles-based crime reporter's podcast suggests that George died during mummification-related sex play at a Hollywood executive's home, Variety reported after obtaining its own copy of the autopsy.

A scholar of choreography, George taught in the UCLA disability studies and LGBT studies programs, according to an obituary on the university's website. George was also a child star in the world of musical comedy during George's upbringing in the United Kingdom, it said.

The executive's lawyer, John Duran, told People that the pair had engaged in the mummification play before, that neither was under the influence of drugs on the night of George's death, and that Chasey was left scarred by the events of that November night.
"The two guys were friends, they'd had sexual relations for months," Duran said. "The way it ended was not what either man expected."
