Oxymoron, do you know what that is?

What part of you being a 4’7” tall stack of dog shite is not processing in your pitiful little brain?

Take dog shite, stack it up until it’s 4’7” tall and you get you.

It’s pretty simple.

Thanks for confirming you don’t know what an oxymoron is

I’m about as far from an expert on autism, pregnancy, and Tylenol as you can get. And unlike some in this thread, I’m not going to pretend to know shite from Shineola on the matter. I was simply giving my option based on what little I’d read in the previous minutes.

Then why did you say autism was a gargantuan problem in this country? You don’t know shite about it clearly.

It’s embarrassing you think that’s an oxymoron. You really are certain of yourself in your own ignorance.

You called me a tall piece of shite while calling me short. That’s the definition of an oxymoron

the last 3-4 pages are all because AwesomeSauce didn't clarify that the 20-30% increase was in incidence rate, not overall numbers

The one (and really only) thing I do know about autism is that the rate of children being diagnosed with it has absolutely exploded over the past roughly 30 years.

Maybe that’s not a gargantuan problem in your book I suppose.

Why the hostility to me asking questions about it? You seem genuinely mad.

I didn’t say you are “tall”, I called you a 4’7” tall stack of dog shite. Learn the difference.

My guess would be because you’re ignorant on the matter at best and straight up wrong and retarded at worst

Because we moved from a lumping them under Childhood Schizophrenia to Asperger's to a full spectrum disorder of Autism Spectrum Disorder right around the time that your chart jumps significantly (mid to late 1990s).

The TL;DR of the explanation is we stopped labeling kids as slow or mentally retarded for having ASD, isolating them in self-contained classrooms or facilities, and mainstreamed them.

You seemed pretty dismissive of the idea that the increase is largely due to how we diagnose these days

Why is that?

That graph is amazing.

Looks like prevalence 10x’d in the 25 years between 1970 and 1995, but look at the relatively tiny increase on the graph vs the 3x prevalence increase from 2000 to 2025.

I do wonder what the difference is between the rate of diagnosis and the incidence rate. Are there more autistic people, or there just more people being diagnosed with autism? We all knew kids growing up that were just labeled as weird who would certainly be diagnosed as autistic today.

I’m sure it’s a little bit of both, I think what we are doing to our bodies could certainly increase the instances of autism, but we’re also certainly widening the definition of the diagnosis

Bro you’re the one coming into this thread guns blazing about this GARGANTUAN problem that NO ONE is studying.

Maybe take a breather and stop falling for political propaganda and every shiny graph you see.

Probably a combination of both, but heavier on the diagnostic changes. They were REALLY big diagnostic changes in comparison to previous criteria and the like.

If you think describing something as being “X’ tall” is the same as saying it’s tall, then you are genuinely retarded.

Let me help you out…

This a a 4’ tall Christmas tree..

Is the tree tall? No. It’s only 4’ tall. In that instance the word “tall” is used to quantify the actual height of the tree, not to indicate the height of the tree is in any way substantial

Here is a tall tree…

Notice I’m describing the tree as being tall, I’m not quantifying it’s actual height.

You should be embarrassed, but you’re too stupid to get embarrassed.
