It's easy to second guess.
I'd just like to think that I personally would notice a guy pointing a pistol at me and then lowering it and the raising it again, especially if he's standing right by me in frontal view.

Holy shite.
Maybe it's their job to stay focused on the task at hand and complete a thorough interview without being distracted.
You really are delusional.
It's not like they were pumping gas and the guy stood next to them for a minute with a gun pointed at them.

It's the interviewees job to stay focused?
Spare me.
Quit trying so hard to on the other side of what I'm saying.

Did you see the POV video. He pretty much walked up on them and pointed the gun at the woman. Not saying I'd have been any more aware, but it was pretty obvious.

Camera lights in face, I am sure they have people walking up to them all the time to listen in. I don't know why they would look up to see

Thank you for getting it.
Might should post the video and after watching people would have a better understanding of what I'm saying.
It's on YouTube.

I don't consider it a troll.
Their names had been all over the news for 6+ hours when the presser was held.
It's an insult to the dead and to the families to get their names wrong so far into the day.

Ever seen people in a camera shot videoing themselves on TV? Like taking a selfie.
Wonder if this guy did this with his phone to look like a normal guy just trying to video the actual interview.
Wasn't he a reporter too?
So sad that he obviously chased her down and killed her. She ran, but Ward must have been instant because there are photos of him laying in the exact spot the interview was taking place and she was nowhere in that aerial shot. You can tell by the sequence of shots he had it on his mind.

A good reporter has them locked in on the conversation/interview. So they aren't wandering with their eyes/thoughts/etc.
Also it was at daybreak. The footage of the shooter from the TV camera has him in the shadows under the awning. They see someone there and think it's likely just an employee.

I have walked up to listen to WAFB and/or WBRZ when they've been reporting on LSU campus. When they are live on the air they don't focus on their surroundings but do so on the little red light on the camera.

Where are said photos?

I'm not judging any of the victims or criticizing. But if you see the POV video, two things stand out:
How did they not notice the shooter?
The victim didn't react the way you'd expect after being shot.
The shooter must have really been careful in his approach.

So what are you proposing? That it was staged or something?
Posted on 8/26/15 at 9:45 pm to tigerinthebueche
What the frick are you seeing?
People have explained 100 times over about why they didn't see him or didn't react to someone else's presence.
What do you mean they didn't react the way you'd expect? Running? Screaming?
He looked pretty silent, purposeful to me. He didn't coming running up yelling.

There are always people who walk up during filming to watch. If a reporter acknowledged them or looked at them, it would be really fricking annoying on TV.

You should YouTube the Facebook video.
Much different perspective than the TV feed.

Yeah, no shite. It's like questioning some guy on a crane not noticing someone to his bottom right with a bazooka when he's lifting up shite meters into the air. He was doing his fricking job, and thus didn't notice. Just ridiculous people are blaming the victims for getting shot and killed, and shame on any poster who is actively questioning this.

People don't seem to get this. Shame on all of you for blaming the victims on getting shot for doing their own damn job. Shame on you.
