We are reviewing this serious matter internally and have followed up with the customers directly as our operating procedures were not followed correctly in this instance," Air Canada said in a statement. "This includes apologizing to these customers, as they clearly did not receive the standard of care to which they were entitled, and addressing their concerns."

Air Canada has some of the surliest FAs I've ever encountered. No shock.

I’d rather drive than pay the money and deal with airlines when traveling . *Obv doesn’t apply if I wanted to go overseas.

I tried to find a route back from Australia to the US via boat; unless I signed up to fish, it wasn't apparently possible.

We were looking at Air Canada from Atlanta to Calgary when we go on our 20th anniversary trip next June.

Reconsidering now.

Fly Delta like a normal person. You’ll just have to stop at KMSP.

Routing through MSP is near flying through ORD or EWR/JFK/LGA.

If you're flying AC direct for a couple of hours, you'll be fine. Probably. Would I fly AC to Europe again? No. Do I ever want to be in the Toronto lounge again, probably not. I would judge the trip based on the equipment that is supposed to fly on your route, vs what you could get flying Delta.

In the end, at least it's not American.

Their prices are outrageous.

KMSP Minny-St.Paul?

We may stay on AC.

It's not a 12 hour flight. Pack your snacks and your clear liquids, and focus on the destination. As much as I like to bitch, I don't think the North American airlines really operate that differently from each other.

It seems like a prerequisite for airline employees these days is a complete lack of empathy and common sense.

And AC is a subsidiary of Delta, you would think that their customer service would be better considering that their parent company had the best customer service in the industry bar none.

But I agree w/you. Just grin and bear it.

Shouldn’t be overly shocking. They shuttle people like cattle in a tin can. They’re not extraordinary people.

Apparently a rule exists that any mode of public transport must be shut down if human fluids are present. Had a school bus driver friend shut his bus down after a local yute pissed on the floor and refused to complete his route. System tried to fire him but this rule put him in the right. Not sure about Canada

If he really said this in this circumstance, I hope they fire him and he is put on a no fly list.
