This is your new chief of police for Baton Rouge Murphy Paul. I just happened to be having a lunch meeting this afternoon and Chief Paul walked in the door. He came over to our table, spoke and went to meet with his party. After he ate lunch, his guest left, he then began introducing himself to people in the restaurant. After speaking to people at several tables he sat with us briefly for a chat and went on his way.
To see this brother take the time simply to say hello to strangers and introduce himself was commendable. His first official day on the job is Monday, if this is a sign of things to come we may be in for some change. Just thought I would share that with you all today.

I've never felt more out of place than when I was on Plank road at around midnight on a Saturday. I was in a convertible Beamer and people were STARING at us.
