What are they there for anyway? Does anyone here care if they were to wake up tomorrow and they were gone? I went to LSU and have ZERO knowledge of what they symbolize or what is special about them. (other than screwing on them)

Courtney Ann Smoak. Her boyfriend was an LSU football player and was with her. There is a memorial marker there with her name on it. I was a sophomore living in Kirby Smith at the time.

Most Indian mounds have "deflated" over the years. Many have been shored up or rebuilt.
That being said, my little girl loves to play on them. I don't see anything wrong with that.
