On September 30, 2010, LSU announced the "Save the Mounds" campaign to preserve the mounds. Officials from the school stated that the mounds had suffered internal structural damage that would lead to their eventual collapse.[6] While they were formerly used for tailgate parties, in 2010 they began to be fenced off during LSU's home football games to prevent them from being damaged.

I did notice that there was construction fence around them on gamedays this past year...seriously dissapointed some kids...
People are letting a little orange plastic get between them and tradition?
Are we men or are we ma'ams?
You know why those injuns built those heaps?
To slide down them!
I'll be damned if I'm gonna let some stuffed shirt pointdexter tell me I can't slide down a hill!
So stand on the sidelines if you must, cowering because of a little caution tape. Me and mine shall slide proudly.
For tradition.
For victory.
For the tigers.

Not really. I had a hill bigger than that one growing up

Thats actually kind of impressive if they were to ride the bikes UP the mounds
You're not going to believe this because I still don't and was a witness. I saw a guy ride a 10 speed up and over the Indian Mound pulling a wheelie the whole time while trippin balls on acid. It was almost exactly 30 years ago.

If there's one thing anyone who has watched 90's horror movies know, it is that you don't frick around with Indian burial grounds.
These young kids didn't know better, but they will. Soon.

More people have rolled off of Paige than the mounds and you don't see her bitching about it

I throw the football at my son on the mounds durring game day. Sometimes I miss him and put divots in the grass.
Get mad.
Get mad.
