I have a massive problem with this. Mixing personal finances with a charity's finances is a big deal.
There is no evidence of this actually happening. I think it was a bullshite ploy to show how "committed" she was to the job.
I agree 100%. I think it was an outright lie they made up because it sounded good. It would be so damn awesome if that had been what ended up causing them to lose their charter seeing as it never happened. As someone else said, mixing non-profit and personal funds is a huge red flag. But everyone seemed overly willing to accept that lie and moved on.

It was self-admitted in a letter that Tarsha wrote. I understand your point, however if she is lying about this, why would anyone want her as the leader and protector of senior citizens?
I can't for the life of me figure out how she would have gotten approved for a loan given her house was foreclosed on.

The metro council did nothing to look into the matter. Asking Crook Amar to produce the loan documents would have been simple and induced yet another lie. As you stated, folks with bankruptcies/foreclosures don't get personal loans to float their employers payroll. Un-fricking-heard of.
eta. Back to her foreclosure, based on the timing of things, I believe she did not make a single payment on that loan. Probably a real estate scam flip that fell through on her. She's trash.

Nobody knew just how shady and underhanded they were when the tax first was approved. Helping seniors is supposed to be a good thing.
