I think you're confusing Trump's irreverence for the status quo for conservatism. A shitload of his policies, especially his trade policies, were completely identical with Bernie.

Since when is free trade a conservative policy? Maybe libertarian, but I don't see how that's conservative. Some of the most conservative people supported protectionism. Calvin Coolidge isn't a conservative anymore?

Not that I support protectionism, but that's your basis for Trump not being conservative?

When did Rand Paul call out antifa? When did he want to do anything about the immigration problem? These things are way more important to me. When did he put our nation first? I'm a Rand Paul fan, but we need a strong conservative leader to change the nation before we can worry about tax cuts.

I think it's funny how people associate everything that they don't like with the political leaning that they oppose. I guess it's just easy to vilify people you disagree with.

Uh, no. Go research the types of crap they've been putting out for the last couple of years and then talk.

So frickin crazy that was an article in a magazine for 13-17 ish year olds anyways. Frick the world.
Apparently the readers are more likely to be much older:

Which Magazine Has the Youngest Readers?

just 38 of the 255 studied by MRI can claim their readers’ median age to be within the coveted 18-to-34-year-old demographic. Teen Vogue (23.8),
Although from 2008, a study found half of those who read Teen Vogue are about 24 and over. So I'm guessing the vast majority are 18 and over.

Well when the readers are generally females and in their mid-20s, then I'm guessing the articles will generally reflect the views of the readers.

Dude, you said free trade isn't a conservative policy. You don't have any clue what you're talking about. How old are you? 16? 17?

You would understand if you weren't an old man.

You had a much better life than I will just based on the age you grew up in alone, so don't think I am mocking you.

I'm going to have to agree with him, at least as it relates to the fundamental ideological principles of conservatism.

I don't think the core of conservatism is necessarily pro- or anti-free trade at its core; although conservatives have been more pro-free trade in recent years.

That being said, it's been clear over the last year and a half that some of these types of principles are not inherently a foundational principle.

It's not. Conservatism isn't libertarianism. I can make a list of people that are conservatives that supported protectionist policies if you would like.

With your logic, we have never had a conservative president, at least in the past 150 years, since any one you would list as a conservative supported protectionism.
