If you get covid from him, that means you didn't vaccinate, wear a mask, or social distance. That's a you problem, not him.

Watching the clips of people intentionally spitting or coughing at someone to try to get them sick a year ago, this take could not be more disingenuous.

I wonder what the OT would be like during the 1918 flu pandemic
Well that affected mainly young healthy people so probably different than this disease than affects mainly old or fat people.

I’ll never get the vaccine and I run the same risk. Beauty of it is, I knew the risk and will never waiver on the stance.

Have you never gotten a vaccine before?

I got my second shot yesterday afternoon. I am not huge for or against the vaccine. My brother and sister and law just had their first child, my first nephew. In October I was told I had to get the whooping cough vaccine if I wanted to see him or my friend's baby. Then I was told I had to get the Covid shot if I wanted to see them going forward. My parents are 72 (diabetic) and 70 respectively and I moved back to Texas so I would be closer to them and around as they age.

Those are no brainer reasons for me. Not for me at all, for other people who are much more concerned than I am. I think we should be doing a root cause analysis realizing we need to get more fit as a country. That's not going to be fixed in 6 months though, so I got the vaccine without an issue

First time parents are pure idiots, I can’t imagine being this paranoid.

As I said, not really my call. I've heard it's kind of "back" but I certainly wouldn't have gotten either vaccine if it was 100% my choice. My family said I can't be around them if I don't get it, so I got both of them.

Not a big deal to me and if I grow 5 arms then I'll have 6 to jerk off with and can still drink a coffee

As someone that has a baby in June, this is absolutely stupid on their part.

But the vaccine doesn't stop transmission or stop you from getting it. It doesn't make sense to get it for others.
Do it for your family reason doesn't apply with this one.

The people at risk should get it so they won't get into ER.

Seeing as it’s free to anyone that gets it, isn’t every vaccination site federally backed?

That’s actually not being paranoid at all. Pregnant women get a pertussis booster (whooping cough) with every pregnancy. Pertussis still very much kills babies every year. It isn’t bad in adults but can be deadly in newborns. Most pediatricians will recommend those close to baby get a pertussis booster shot. While yes, you were vaccinated against this when you were younger, the immunity fades with time so you need a booster when you are older.

Babies can’t get their first pertussis vaccine until they are 6 months old so they are very vulnerable until then. Ive cared for babies with pertussis (some that died) and usually it was a parent or close family member (aunt, grandma, etc) that got it and gave it to baby.

No it wouldn’t. The 1918 flu pandemic killed a whole lot more people and a much larger swath of people.
