Considering newborns have very fragile immune systems....I’m not gonna bash a parent wanting to be very cautious about what types of infectious diseases their baby might be exposed to. What if the newborn was premature with an already weakened respiratory system?

Then no one should be around the baby. There is literally no rational reason to require a covid vaccine to be around a newborn. It's also basically impossible given the percentages of health care workers that have refused the vaccine.
And let me just stop you before you act like I'm some antivax crazy person. I'm had the covid shot. We had our parents get up to date on tdap before or children were born.

I want to travel later in the summer, so I went ahead and got my 1st shot last week (get the 2nd in early June). I'd love to think it wouldn't be necessary. But I want get to get some resort action. So not taking any chances..besides all the bluster by the anti vaccine people. They aren't going to do shite and will all fall in line eventually. Might as well get it over with..
