I use H&R Block.
This year I'm using a CPA.

I've used turbotax for 6-7 years now.
Maybe I should shop around?
I always figured they all claim to be 'free' or 'dirt cheap' until you start itemizing deductions, including small business income, also filing a state return, etc.

I itemized, and only have LA for state. I didn't add any of the extra services and Turbotax is $77, Taxslayer is $39.
I used Turbotax for several years up until last year, and used Taxslayer.

Well, I already filed for this year, but I'll have to look into other options next year.

Quick! Word games. Think of a noun you really like. Now, replace the word "tax" in each name with that noun. The answer should be obvious.

I use TurboTax. I have a job and we run a small business. It is easy to use and I have all my previous year returns on there. The itemized deductions are easy to do and it suggested some stuff this year that I didn't think to write of as a deduction. I think it was around $85. That is not bad to me.
ETA: That is with no state income tax.

You can do La state for free. Use turbotax for reference but don't pay.

I used Credit Karma this year because it was free for federal and state. Came to the exact same number for both that I got with Turbo Tax.

You know how I know you aren't OT rich?
OT rich means you have a whole CPA firm working on your taxes.

I've been using TurboTax for years. It's simple enough, imports my data from previous years, and it's not insanely expensive. Amex has an offer for $10 off Deluxe and $15 off Premier this year.
