No joke. Now is probably a good time since old man Newell passed away. I heard he was up there frequently back in the day to watch out for vandals/trophy seekers.

Seriously disappointed that Tulane LSU didn’t get the most famous sign in the whole state on his list....

If you did a Top 10 signs of Industriplex, do you think you could top Simple Simon? I don't think you can.

Friend,

Saw’s is awesome. You missed out by not getting the soul plate. I also highly recommend their fried green tomatoes. I hope you remedy this error in judgment upon your return to the magic city.

Cheers,

Is there a game in UAB game you’re catching with mother this weekend?

I go to Bham at least once a year for follow-ups for my 13 yr old daughter at UAB hospital. I always stop in Clanton for peaches AND Jack's hamburgers. Nice list.

You are, if nothing else, ubiquitous in your musings. Was it COVID-19 or are you always so solitary in your travels? People can be kind and engaging.

Moreover, a resourceful bon vivant would have gained entry to the Alabama Theater and relished it's grand interior.

4/10, friend.

Friend,

I find that Davenport’s Pizza Palace serves the finest pie in the Birmingham area.

I would love to read your review of an experience at Milo’s Hamburgers.

no Birmingham in general is not a shithole. that area is not a great area at all, but it is not indicative of Bham as a whole.
