Mr. TLSU, I was in both cities last month and you are spot on. If you want a respite, go to Lake Oswego. Nice downtown area.

I disagree on Asheville. It is Portland/Seattle lite. This place is run by the wackiest of wack-jobs, and most of downtown has a lingering scent of body odor and patchouli oil. City Council just voted to figure out a way to pay reparations. I understand why people think it's a great place to visit, but, trust me, living here is not what it's cracked up to be.
If my family situation wasn't such that I have to be here a little longer, I'd be gone.
