O Come O Come Emmanuel is truly beautiful, especially when sang slow and with a certain mourning.

I agree. I sang it solo at a Christmas pageant in high school, and though I'm not a great singer, I tried to get the yearning and mourning tone, which was received as such by the crowd.

Burl Ives’ “Have a Holly Jolly Christmas” will occupy its own unique circle of hell, repeating its reedy-voiced, nasal, mindless greeting eternally, as a special torment for any who are luckless enough to stumble into its place in the hereafter... by golly!

Mahalia Jackson’s version O Holy Night is incredible as is her rendition of Do You Here What I Here.

Whitney Houston’s Joy to the World is amazing.
