Neither Baylor or Vandy got that much attention, especially for how egregious the crimes were

And for what it is worth the accuser in the Duke men's case admitted she made everything up. All of the seniors from their cancelled season were allowed to play the next season as graduates, and they won the national championship.
But yeah.....
It's not on anyone's radar

Not to mention they were true and people were convicted and went to jail. Also, one involved a very high profile college football program who just happened to be in an extremely conservative town and the school itself was Baptist so obviously that had plenty of play with the media. The other case involved a major academic institution in the highest profile football conference so that was going to be news.

Duke lax case was a huge story for weeks when it happened
led national news stories
ESPN has done a 30 for 30 story on it
and several of those guys are now part of that group that fights for people who have been wrongfully convicted... Innocence Project I believe... helped free a few more people that that particular prosecutor who tried them got put in prison

If this turns out to be what we already assume this won't sniff national attention especially on the liberal media networks. Now black guys getting arrested at Starbucks it's all over the National news. Rape meh no big deal they were asking for it
