Did they spend years tracking down everyone involved? Did they talk about how democratic politicians fomented them and encouraged them? By they I mean federal prosecutors and the media. If not, why not?

No, I just don’t see it as any different than what occurred that entire summer. Yet I didn’t see anyone prosecuted/persecuted over the GF riots. I didn’t see the media discussing the role Democrat politicians, including Biden, played in causing them and encouraging them. The reason is that the prosecutions of Jan 6th were politically motivated and the media is completely biased. Our justice system shouldn’t be used to only prosecute those who we oppose politically. The law should be applied equally or it’s not just.
