My brother in law has a 2016 Expedition with the twin turbo v6.

One day I was getting my daughter out of the vehicle and when I closed the door, it rattled like crazy. WTH? Otherwise it's nice but it's not old enough to rattle like that.

I am not an eco boost fan, but I would be more worried about the bearings in the turbo than any effects on the motor it self.

Some pretensioners are mechanical, but a lot of modern units use small explosive charges to rapidly tighten the belt.

The F150 recall has the explosive charge
