Truck AC problem -- not blowing cold, also new noise first start of the day

It first started blowing warm a couple weeks ago. I put a can of refrigerant in even though the (admittedly shitty) gauge showed it was in the "good" range. The low end, but still "good". It got better and blew cold for about a week, then started blowing warm again.
I put dye in it this time and added another can, even though it was still well into the "good" range. I have not found a leak. I can't see every nook and cranny without taking stuff apart, but it's a 2010 Sierra and I can see a good bit in there. I have found a refrigerant leak this way in another vehicle before, so I don't think I'm completely incompetent. No visible leaks and no apparent loss of refrigerant, I don't think there's a leak.
Now, the last couple days there's been a pretty loud humming or vibrating noise that seems to start when the compressor starts, and it stops after a few seconds. This only seems to happen after the truck has been sitting for many hours (basically overnight).
As I always do, I would like to try to fix this myself without taking it to a shop. I'm above average as far as being handy, but I just don't have a deep enough understanding of AC systems to know what to do here.
Any help?

System could be overcharged, this would cause a buzzing sound and cause the high pressure switch to kick on and stop the clutch from engaging. Is you compressor clutch engaged or constantly going on and off. This is the cheap fix.
If it's not that then the humming sound could be the bearing in the compressor itself going out, which honestly I prefer a shop to do as they can run the vac system, change the orifices, accumulator, compressor, and recharge before my vac system can clean out the lines. Not cheap though.

Could be several things.
Bad clutch on the compressor.
Bad compressor.
Bad relay switch.
Bad radiator fan.
Leak somewhere.
I'd guess a leak if it worked for a week after adding a can. Did it work consistently that week or go in and out?

The "low good" on the gauge may be lower that the autoshutoff for that model year.

It was blowing about 55 degree air after I added that first can, but I didn't check the temp again after that until a few days ago when it just wasn't cooling me down. I checked it and it was blowing about 75-80 degrees. That's when I added another can even though I don't think it was low, and it had no effect on the temp. Then the noise started (or at least that's when I started noticing it).

you need to take it to a shop. Even if you had a real set of gauges that showed high and low pressures you wouldn't have the knowledge to know what you were looking at. I hate that they sell those bottles with the crappy gauges on it to the public. Adding freon to an already full system could cause catastrophic failure of hardware unnecessarily.
