am i seeing right that it looks like the storm is having trouble staying organized? the radar shows part of the rain moving east against the southerly flow coming off the coast.

Man, checking several radars, I seem to be really close to the big area of no rain. Hope this thing keeps moving east a bit and that can reach us.

If what I think is going to play out actually does, with the really heavy stuff closer to the coast, teachers are going to have to do some educating.
