Should I drain my pool before the storm??
My understanding is you want a full pool in a large rain event. When you have saturated soil the water table naturally rises putting upward pressure on your pool. If you don't have enough downward pressure from the water it makes it much more likely the pool will succumb to the upward forces and could potentially pop out.

I still say the most the BR area will get is 4-5 inches at most.... now Houma is a different story as well as Laffy....
How are these areas going to get so much rain if the system is going East of Mobile?

I'm hoping to get a TS Day off from work and sleep through the entire thing.

Anyone have an estimated rain map on the current path? Isn't the most rain to the far east on this thing like near the Miss/LA border? Do I want this thing to move more west or east for SE LA? Main a freaking headache. I was telling my friend just a week ago I have a feeling we're going to get a very active season in the Gulf despite the bullshite % on an active season they throw out there.

just assume that as of this moment... if you live in the state of Louisiana you will get some wind and rain thanks to this system
I know... tiny limb I'm going out on there

I hard-pressed to believe that this is still current after the latest shift in the forecast track
but it's still the most current 1 up on the NHC website
ETA: rain projections for this storm

Mitch Landrieu is speaking: "We're hoping that this storm will claim that racist Andrew Jackson statue so we don't have to rile up the rednecks again and put out another million dollars in 'security' costs"
