We know brah. Everyone has things to do and plans made that could be affected. No one cares about your tree.

Better get to it before this shite happens.

Unrelated to the potential Gulf system, 92L has been activated in the Atlantic:

Did Wunderground remove the comments section from their blog? I use that thing daily each summer.

Wunderground removed blogs altogether. Someone made a replacement for it: WeatherQuack

Thanks. I wonder why the change.

My apologies for posting something on a public forum. I'll be sure to heed your demands and only post something that people are guaranteed to care about. I suppose I was mistaken to think that a tree potentially falling on my house was a relevant topic to a discussion of a storm developing in the gulf.
Go back to your regularly scheduled Punta Cana jokes.

So is Jeff Masters retiring or just not writing his analysis blogs anymore? I enjoyed his input on the tropics.

Wait. Is Punta Cana in danger?

Punta Cana is always in danger.

Last time I looked at it Jeff Masters was still doing the blogs they had just made it separate from the tropical weather underground page and called it Category 6

You aren't by chance going there... I'd go ahead and cancel.

To add to this, the 00z Euro Para shifted SW and is more in line with operational run through D7. Then after that the Para drifts the system north with a landfall in S. Texas. The op never really develops anything with the energy sliding into Mexico.

Interesting how active things are this early.

Yea, a strong KW just pushed across the basin, so the MDR activity is probably related to that. The MJO is in Phase 1 and that is favorable for the WCARB & EPAC. However, the MJO should shut the Atlantic down over the next couple of weeks. So it might be mid July before things pick up again.

12z GFS Para refuses to fold to the Euro. Either the upgraded version is really good or...

Hmm, pretty big shift NW on 12z UKMET model. It was pretty much lined up with the Euro before this run.

Just as a point of reference for the postings of the MB readings of the forecasts:
I'm sure this isn't steadfast, but it's a guide. For example, when we see the forecast low shows a 975 mb , they are predicting a cat 2 hurricane.
