I checked the heat index and it was 123 degrees before that rain came through Mid City. Now it's 79.

Global warming my arse. 79 in July is unheard of.

Except when you get rain showers, which are usually more common this time of year and keep the average temp down.

I blame Trump. But more seriously, I blame Saharan dust and the El Nino cycle that happens ever so often because Trump has absolutely nothing to do with this.

A home weather station picked up a 46mph gust off of Burbank this afternoon. It’s also 20 degrees cooler in Baton Rouge than Mandeville right now.

Send some of that, sans hail, our way.

Rain must have completely missed Tiger Bend. Lots of commotion, no payoff.

Winds strong enough to blow a tree down on Bluebonnet.

There’s 2 or 3 trees on houses and several down in general. Hard to tell if some are just big limbs on other homes. The red oaks are so big. There’s a trampoline on a roof too.

There was some pretty nice sized hail involved. It was quick though. No warnings. Just came out of no where.

It’s settled down now, but it was just crazy in Albany. I could see blue skys all around me but sideways rain and lightning popping all around!

It didn't have too much rain with it. I'd be surprised if we got 1/4". At least it was something though and it's not nearly as hot.

Took out half a tree across the street from us. No limbs in our yard luckily.

There must have been something nasty going through that Inninsworld area down through Oak Hills and St. Gabriel. A straight line of red.
