Travel PSA: I-10 West Backed Up Between MS State Line and Weigh Station in BSL

This is your 4th of July travel advisory. If you are coming back to Louisiana from the Gulf coast, have some patience or wait.
Bunching starts after the MS-603 exit and goes for a few miles almost to the MS-607 exit.
Slows up an again at the Pearl River bridge at the state line.
There are a few other slow downs until you reach the I-10/12 split.
Just passed the the MS-603 exit and some people are detouring.
Waze is your friend.
That is your Time Saver traffic report.
Traffic tips 529-INFO.
I am Don Ames.

Should have left at 7 AM, bruh! Anyone who is leaving after lunch might just as well save some misery and stay another night!

Best part of owning your own place is leaving whenever you want

I go day tripping to Biloxi most Sundays and the traffic looked pretty bad. I just hope it is clear when I come back. Usually, I take 90 back and get back on the interstate at Exit 2.
I will probably pass on Buc-ee’s this week. Must be a mad house there with people trying to kill time.

Well known in my family that if i get forced to go to "the beach" on a weekend, we are leaving at 0600 sunday morning. As in, rolling out the gate no later than 0600. 75% packed saturday night.
Where do all these coonasses get all this frickin money?

Leave at 4-5am and never come off your cruise. Not sure why people get on the road during rush hour and bitch about traffic.

How?
I bet if I tallied it all up a weekend at the beach probably costs me $2,500 by the time you add all the shite my wife buys for the kids, gas, etc. Ill never actually add it up because I dont want to know.
Yet its enough coonasses there to make a westbound traffic jam every sunday all summer long. Beachway buccees has its own 30 minute traffic jam in the parking lot.
Wtf are yall doing?????? Are all of you like me, forced to endure a weekend of this madness every year, or are yall doing it by choice?

We drive to 30A from Conroe Texas once a year during peak summer season. The entire stretch from the Sabine to the pearl river is easily the worst

The only reason I dont do this is so the women can have their morning balcony coffee one last time.
I won a victory this year. The women and girls are going to "the beach" and the men and boys are going to grand isle.

The only thing funnier than the race to be the first family to the beach is the race to be the first family home from the beach.
