here is a fact....last year pit bulls accounted for more deaths(295) then the rest of the top 20 bites by breed combined.

Check to see if he has an electronic fence collar on. That may be why he stays in the driveway. We had one and our mailman questioned us about our German Shepherd off leash. The dogs would come up to about five feet from mailbox when she drove up. We told her about the electronic fence and all was well. She even brought treats some days.

Not exactly equivalent to a pit, though. More likely to bark than to chase, attack and kill.

Plus, in general I would say shep owners are more responsible. It’s a family dog, kept inside and you have measures in place.
