The Altima puts Nissan neck and neck with Dodge.

Basically a poor man's Range Rover.

You can get a more reliable luxury SUV that won't break down on you all the time for the same price.

Nissan by far. They’ll finance anyone. Plus, CVTs in just about everything.

This. They've fallen so far from the glory days of z-cars and the maximas.

Never owned one, never will. I have some begrudging respect for the outgoing Frontier for keeping it real.

Dodge is crap, and probably 2nd worst, but at least they've released something mildly interesting in the last decade or so.

People need to catch up on the Hyundai/Kia twins. They've come a long way. I'd probably still choose Honda/Toyota/Mazda over them as I don't quite think the Koreans have caught up completely on parts and assembly quality.

Agreed. Consistent styling and theme across all models, good quality inside and out.

You can get some of the Mazda models actually made in Japan. That's uncommon these days and I think it makes a difference.

The 4Runner is another one that comes to mind (made in Japan).

They’re falling alongside Mitsubishi, they share ownership since 2016.

The Mazda MX-5 Miata is still the best experience for the money that you can buy.

Range Rover is the worst return on investment in the market. Worse than Cadillac.

Pontiac? Maker of the GTO and Firebird? Respectfully disagree.

Can we go ahead and throw Chrysler Corporations products in general in there?

I can remember being about 4 years old and realizing Chrysler products were trashy. Call it a Dodge, Plymouth, Chrysler, Ram, DaimlerChrysler... whatever. It's for low-class people.

Any auto maker that could come up with a car like the 1967 GTO is exempt from the trashy label.

More fun to drive a slow car fast than a fast car slow. And that's the reality on the street.

Was out at Barber the other day watching a Miata take laps with Camaros, Mustangs, Supras, Corvettes, etc. Seemed to be acquitting itself very well.

The people who can afford those probably don’t give two shits about the return.
