yes, i am a certified mechanic for 45 years and the level of stupidity being said in this thread by people who dont even have a clue what they are talking about is astounding.

Straight from pepboys, and there are multiple others you freaking retard. Maybe you just do them wrong since most use a detergent and run it through. You might not, but then again you aren't doing a flush which is what no one wants anyway.

Thanks for chiming in! I'm approaching the 100k mark myself and have been considering it. I read up and got mixed answers. My gut was telling me fresh fluid had to be needed at some point. Btw, I am completely dumb when it comes to this stuff. You'd probs my laugh at me researching how to change my coils

Never said I would let them touch a vehicle of mine. That's what us people over here call an example. Plenty of other companies offer the same service. They use a chemical.or detergent to flush the transmission. Many of the same companies offer a fluid change. Just because your terminology doesn't line up with the rest of the industry doesn't mean everyone else here is wrong. And since you are in the industry you are lumped together with them.
At least we agree on the end result, do the fluid change and not the flush.

you cant even flush the transmission so people saying this are idiots. There is a valve in this particular transmission that prevents it.

The power flush typically consists of ATF. That is your detergent.
Please don't give advice on things you have zero real knowledge of.
