There can be a number of reasons, many of them bordering on ridiculous. Congregations can say whatever they want, but to remain a SBC affiliated congregation, they must adhere in belief with the SBC Statement of belief, which seldom/rarely/never changes more than a comma or adjective. Today's SBC Belief statement is pretty much the same as it was 90 years ago.

The big disagreement for a while was a congregation voting to call a woman to pastor a congregation. I have no idea if that belief (against) will ever change, but I am too smart to say never.

Right or wrong, I have referred to some congregations as "Cinderblock Baptist" The ones I see as that type are very conservative. They probably saw Paul as a blatant liberal (LOL)

That scripture is hard to argue against, I don't care how anyone tries to skirt it.

Fire, brimstone, Hell and damnation are pounded at the pulpit. That's how I was raised my entire childhood. I have 2 uncles that are long time Holiness & Assembly of God pastors. I was raised to fear God and fear for my life if I sinned. I remember burning cassette tapes of Led Zepplin/ACDC/Stones in barn fires outside on church grounds because they taught us that was Satan music. It was all so ridiculous when I think back to those sermons and teachings.

Once an adult, I moved away from that rigid teaching and always got more from a pastor that taught with a loving, kind, and reverent approach. Our God is a merciful God.

Public execution is what that is describing. Every criminal has parents. It's not hard to understand.

Several things about mental illness, demon possession, sickness, perversions, false teachings, letting your "yes mean yes" and your "no mean no".

Also what it doesn't say is important. Like it doesn't say much about after death and ungodliness but it does say it contains "all things about Life and Godliness".

the verse is talking about heinous criminals. not little kids. It's not hard to understand. The death penalty is sometimes necessary. Every criminal had parents at some point.

ETA: its basically telling the parents to not protect their children from justice. I think it's a great verse. More parents should abide by it.

I think you are interpreting that. It literally says my dad could bring me to town square and stone me for not listening to him. I love when people apply things differently. Too many people take some things literally then interpret other things to fit their belief.
