Mtf detransition rates are very low. Now on the other hand, ftm detrans rates are growing immensely. IMO, because they feel like being trans will help solve their body dysmorphia issues and have no desire to be a butch lesbian. Not because they’re actually transgender.

I agree with your assessemnt as to the "why." But at the same time, your corner pushing the ridiculous "gender is a social construct" bears responsibility for the immense physical and emotional cost those people go through. Also, is there a reason that every trans person I encounter is a barista and not say a lawyer or doctor?

Also being a man is objectively about 1000 times harder. The reality of what men must do is sobering to someone who imagines that being a male means power and has grown up in a female supremacist society where all the narratives affirm women and condemn men for their nature. Suddenly you are a man and you aren’t the sexual gatekeeper anymore and people expect you to make something of yourself . Women are born. Men are made.

I'm really not making fun. He may have been married and came out or whatever and got divorced. I'm just just genuinely confused and curious.
On topic my son had fun at the Dths Homecoming. He said absolutely Nobody cared about it. And nobody at the school is pushing this agenda or shoving Transgender ideas down their throats. The kids simply minded their own business with their friends.
Sadly the only people making a big deal out of it are adults on social media. Irony

Not exactly my corner because there’s a massive divide in the transgender community, those that call themselves transsexual and those that use the umbrella catch-all “trans”. It’s my opinion that the “gender is a construct” thing is complete horseshite. It used to be very easy to explain to people the concept of “brain and body wired wrong” so I transitioned to become as close to the opposite sex as possible. It wasn’t a construct. That shite drives me bonkers.
I know two lawyers and one doctor that I know personally. Getting a decent job as a trans person can be absolutely brutal. It took me nearly a year after being laid off at the beginning of COVID. Also, places like Starbucks have very good health insurance and are super trans-friendly.

I don’t think so. I think it’s abnormal psychology but not insanity. Insanity is when people go along with it pretend that biological reality is a social construct. That’s that kind of Maoist insanity that we all recognize where people become consumed with forgetting what they know in the service of an ideology.
