Oh, hell yeah. Limit on a dry van load is 44,000 lbs, even less for dump trailers.

Standard loading for an hs-25 truck is 90,000 lb total, spread out over the wheels.

You're correct. I'm thinking legal loads. Anything beyond 44k usually requires overweight permits.

The 44k you mention must be for a 36k tare truck/van

44k is generally a legal load for a dry van or flatbed.
