Both of these and more.
There are A LOT of them and with the famous name and/or blood connection we know when almost anything happens. Bad decisions HAVE NO DOUBT been part of it, (JFK Jr decided to fly that evening with a bad foot and in the evening, the one who died on the ski slopes after being told to stop playing some game, etc). Their money has allowed them access to things that a poorer family of the same size could not be involved in.
Huge money and power is not a shield from death.

Her last name was Hill. Did she officially just use Kennedy for status or is that media pushing that name more than her father’s who was connected to the “In the Name of the Father” case?
I think the family benefitted more from the myth of Camelot after JFK & RFK’s deaths than if had they lived to old age and turned out closer to Ted.
