This wreck is completely out of the ordinary. shite like this happens everyday in Baton Rouge. Not the case here.

Sure there are wrecks everyday here, but they usually only close 1 or 2 lanes, usually utilizing the express/HOV lanes when possible.

Only the Poors and TH03 take 75.

The rest of us take the Tollways.

This is a retarded and uninformed view of dallas.

DNT, 35, and 75 all serve completely separate purposes, hence why they all exists as north/south freeways and why another is coming soon to the east of 75 IIRC.

35 to Farmers Branch, Lewisville, Denton through to Oklahoma City
DNT to Addison, West Plano, frisco, now prosper
75 to Richardson, east Plano, McKinney, Allen, through to Oklahoma.

If I took the tollway or 35 to get to Allen, I’d be retarded. Same as if I took 75 to 121 to get to West Plano.

You can take 12 to the DNT to 121 to W. Exchange if you dont want to go further north.

edit: And I bet I'd beat you home.

You say this as you post some retarded arse shite.

My brother (from Houma) managed to get from Mesquite to Addison without paying a toll and under 25 min after 3 o clock.

You just have to know what the hell you are doing.

You apparently dont venture west much outside that little cubby hole of yours.

So you’d get there in no less time and pay tolls. And depending on traffic, spend a lot of time on 12 just to go a few miles.

Mesquite to Addison is 99% 635, no shite he didn’t pay tolls. And that direction is going completely against traffic at that time of day. I make that drive every other day because I have an account in Rockwall and one in Addison.

If that’s your definition of West, I literally work in that area now.

I know, but you said that in a post talking about Addison.

My wife covers everything west of 35. I’m out there often. In Bedford at least once a week.

And btw I used to live off exchange, no way in hell I’d take DNT to get down unless 75 was horrendous or I was going to AAC because frick the tunnel in rush hour.

fricking this - came up on a dent wreck this morning in Indianapolis blocking the major intersection to get from Executive Dr to the Rayburn expressway. Two cars barely dented just sitting there while completely blocking the intersection. I had to hop out of my rig and ask if they were okay. They both said yes, and I yelled for them to get the frick out of the intersection. They moved. fricking morons. Little dent on the passenger side door and they act like they're waiting for a medevac and CSI to show up.

75 is the WORST!! Even if there isnt a wreck its slow moving. Nothing kills a good buzz post duck hunt than coming back into town on a saturday morning and getting stuck in traffic on 75 and finding out that there isnt even a wreck thats causing traffic. Thank god i moved into a better neighborhood and dont have to deal with that crap anymore.

I thank God I don't have to touch 75 to get to or from my office.

I'll probably get fricked getting home today though. Google Maps is telling NW Highway is my best bet and it's gonna take 40 minutes to get there

Having lived in both cities for an extended period of time can easily say traffic in Dallas is just as bad if not worse than Houston.

Probably wasn’t the case prior to mid 2000s but Dallas has been growing like crazy and highway/road infrastructure is probably a good 10 years behind Houston in terms of doing anything to elliviate the congestion

It’s really not that bad unless you commute to and from the suburbs. Local traffic isn’t terrible all the time, but when it is, there’s plenty of roads to substitute. I use Abrams/skillman/Greenville 90% of the time.
