you think a 4 cylinder ICE engine is more "practical" than a hybrid drive train, I would be curious as to your definition of "practical".

More usable space?

Why aren't there more Hybrids instead of the push towards All-Electric?

Where? As a general rule, the hybrid battery displaces a bit of the gas tank. It doesn’t reduce cabin or trunk space. Off the top of my head, I believe my Touring has a reduced gas tank from 16gal to 12gal. But the body and interior are exactly the same.

I’d love to have a new Porsche 911. But also a Model S Plaid.

The joy of never having to stop and get gas ever again would’ve hard to pass up.

Looks like I will be trading the 2015 Prius in very soon.

I love having a hybrid as a middle ground. Full sized car, relatively powerful engine. 500+ miles on a single 12 gallon tank of gas. But also the freedom to fill up at any standard gas station with regular unleaded. Road trips are amazing. I can drive back and forth from Baton Rouge to the Florida panhandle on a single tank. I can drive from Baton Rouge to San Diego stopping for gas a grand total of three times.

my aunt lives right by me, she owns a Prius. Had to replace the battery pack last year at her cost. It cost her a few grand. This is why I won't buy electric or hybrid. People aren't thinking about the long term costs it will have. A 10 year old hybrid is going to need very expensive maintenance down the road.

My battery is factory warrantied for 8 years and 100,000 miles. Paying “a few grand” (about $2,500 for mine, last I looked) after that period of time for a brand new battery isn’t exactly jarring. Hell, it just cost a fricking grand to do some minor repairs (including that god damned rear hatch motor) on my wife’s RX 350

The back seat of the older generation Prius was surprisingly roomy (based on Prius taxis in nyc). Any pictures of a 4 door version?

Much better effort, took them an awful long time to get the gay spaceship out of their system.

Unless socialism gets worse, I figure auto companies will be reshuffling back to hybrid/CEV's and CEV's once they realize millions and millions of Americans aren't gonna buy EV's for a multitude of reasons.
