There's not a V8 offered in the F150? Even if it's not as peppy I'd rather a V8 over a turbo V6.
Yes, the 5.0. It's what I have in mine. Too many issues with the ecoboost for me to consider it.

Had a chance to drive a titan right before they hit the market, I don't know what the specs say on that cummins, but if you could put that engine in any other truck on the market, you would lock the competion out. But god that thing is ugly.

Serious question, who gives a rip? A truck is not a luxury sedan, most guys want something that is reliable, comfortable, and has the power/ gas mileage combo they need.
I've never understood choosing a truck because of the best interior.

I care, drive clients to meetings every day, haul honey does in the bed on the wekends, hook a trailer up and drag a side by side to hunt. So I want a multi tool.

Love 150s but hate the look of the new ones. They look so top heavy with some tiny arse tires
Tundras and GMCs look much better. I even like the look of the new Titans

Trucks today are SUV's for most people. They aren't trucks in the traditional sense.

Tundra and it isnt even close.
If you want a truck that will last you for ever get a Tundra which is also more American made than the F150.

Very true. I probably only need an SUV but I like having the utility of a truck. I'll never need to call someone to help me out in that regards.

Would be nice if they made SUVs that were smaller than the Tahoe. Other than the 4Runner or Jeep, everything is now a minivan or crossover.

I traded a Land Cruiser on a new Tundra Limited Crewmax back in the fall. Could not be happier.
I put a leveling kit and Nitto tires on it (got good deal on tires, look great but loud).
The Tundra is transformed in looks when leveled IMO.
The truck has a crazy amount of interior room. It has great power. Most importantly, it's a Toyota...so the quality in there.
I have not towed with it yet but know a guy that pulls a 27' Cape Horn center console with his Tundra safely. It really is a beast of a truck.

I don't know if they offer the 5.0 still, I could have sworn a guy I know who works at the dealer here told me if you want a V8 then it has to be a special order, but even then it's the 5.0.
I have a 2012 Lariat with the 6.2 V8 and love it.

That guy is full of it

They do. When I bought mine last year, the salesman told me they were considering not offering a V8 in 2017, but I guess the questions around ecoboost has kept the V8 around for at least one more cycle.

Ford's are pieces of shite. The Tundra is the clear winner and choice by a country mile. You don't see those pieces of shite, Fords that is, on the road much around Colorado, and there is good reason for it.

The V8 isn't going anywhere until the segment of buyers that insist on having a V8 dies off IMO. And that won't be happening for a while, at least for the truck market.

You do realize that DOHC motors are older than pushrods right?
Me saying it's dated has more to do with power and efficiency numbers than anything, plus they haven't touched it or the body style/interior since the damn thing came out. I used to think they were pretty competitive when they first came out, but everyone else has moved on since then.

We didn't know you were in Colorado. You've never mentioned it before.

Weird. I figured the forced induction V6, while much less reliable, would probably provide a fuel economy and output advantage in high altitudes.
