Salvation Army is unfortunately one of the ones I used to do but stopped.
Catholic charities does families but I don’t know much about their program.
My work collects any and all toys and does something through the local schools to donate it to certain students.

I give books. Usually about nature, animals, science, etc.
The world needs more kids reading books like this to generate a spark of interest that turns into a burning passion as they grow up.
They also have little-to-no resale value.

I always find a single Mom or Grandma that is struggling to raise a kid alone and ask them what the kid wants for Christmas. I will then buy the gift (usually an XBox, Playstation, or bike) and give to the Mom or Grandma to give to the kid themselves for Christmas.
That’s good stuff, dude. You’ve 100% made those kids very happy.

We donate toys and needed items to an angel tree to known needy children. Merry Christmas. I hope you find peace.

The best kids Christmas charity you can support is Make-A-Wish. THOSE are the kids who need to be supported.

Only gift drive I participate in is through my church, for foreign kids through our mission wing. I’ve become completely disenchanted with all domestic charities now. Pretty much everything I do, local and distant, is through my church now.
