No, judging from your upvotes and downvotes there's one other dumbass besides you here.

Essence brings in a higher class of folks and its never good to have these stories out there. Them chicks didn't frick around, they dropped their shite and took off running, they were not about to get shot over dumb shite.

Wingr and four other women say they were robbed at about 2 a.m. in the 1600 block of North Prieur Street, right in front of a rental home the women had secured online

This is what I see as a major problem of ignorance.

They basically airbnbd a house in the projects. I wouldn't be surprised if it was a setup by the airbnb owner.

Do some research before you book an airbnb in a city you've never been to.

Google map real image that fricking area and you'd know not to stay there. Bars everywhere, Crack houses, run down blighted housing. And that's just on the first block first view on Google maps.

I think that goes without saying for anyone who has been there.

This.

Sad but true unless of course you grew up there. Then it's sad because you have a weird attachment to a shite hole with a weak economy, low wages, a housing bubble, and outrageous crime.

I love how obsessed with NOLA these angry hicks are. It really bothers them that so many people go there and enjoy it. Keep it up guys.

Its an international culinary destination.

No, it isn't. That's why the Michelin guide ignores it.

You can argue the food greatness, for sure. It isnt new york or LA like the food board claims, but it is top tier.

And I got tired of new orleans really fast when I lived there, the crime number one reason.

Number two reason.

And three.

So we moved. And I love the town, but unless the people in charge get a handle in it... Well culcha will win

It is definitely playing well outside of its weight class.....but it's not 'top tier'.

Ironic that you'd say this in a thread about tourists going there and refusing to ever return after being robbed.

Have to do a LOT of research when renting properties. That house looks great though

Looks amazing. It's just in a dangerous part of a very dangerous city. Not the ideal place for curious and unaware tourists.
