I'm not a huge drunk or anything but I do drink a little wine now and then. There's been a lot of talk on this board about Total Wine so I thought I'd do a comparison of a few wines that I drink.

Buttercream chardonnay
Aquistapace $8.99 vs Total Wine $13.99

Invetro red
Aquistapace $12.99 vs Total Wine $17.99

Carmen cabernet
Aquistapace $12.99 vs Total Wine $17.99

And geaux tigers.

Aquistapace gets my money for pretty much all liquor and meats/cheeses etc, and some wines they have that are cheaper than total wine.

Gotta support the local places that put out good stuff.

Big box stores like Total Wine sell their own exclusive brands that they buy cheap and mark up. So unless you're looking specifically for one of their crappy brands, it's not a good deal.

Trader Joe's $3 wine beats anything else I've tried.

If this is a buy local thread get over it. If you can't compete then don't start a business and expect me to pay your high prices because you make bad business decisions.

Yeah, but you can't get a really sloppy 24" roast beef sandwich and a stuffed artichoke from Total Wine.

Yep
I’m going to support the local places 90% of the time
I’m not spending big money anyway so it’s not a big deal

You seem more like a fine arts major than a business major

Gulf Coast Wine and Spirits also has better prices than total wine. Plus the owners, Dave and Jerry, are the shite.

I don't think you are a threat to Acquistapace.

Total Wine opened up in Lafayette and immediately Rouses went into a price war with them on liquor across the board..

Just for fun I check the liquor aisle at Albertson's sometimes to make sure they're still charging 20% more than Rouses & Total Wine for Bulleit

Aquistapaces has marked alot of their stuff down since Total Wine opened. Also, if you bring a price comparison to Aquistapaces, they will likely match it.
