According to the St. George Fire Department, crews were called to BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse around 3:30 p.m. Thursday. It's unclear how much damage the business sustained in the fire. Investigators later learned the fire was sparked by a cigarette that was improperly disposed of outside. The fire spread from exterior stucco wall and worked its way inside.

First smokers get their outside gaming area at L'Auberge, then to celebrate they set fire to a fine dining establishment. Time to ban all smoking in public, it's a nuisance, it kills people, it stinks, they're expensive and now they're leading to fires. Wow.

Interesting, so it's been a major problem in BR for a while. I wonder how many wildfires can be contributed to cigs. The evidence is overwhelming, time to outlaw cigs.

There is nothing trashier than a line of smokers huddled outside their office under an overhang trying to suck down a cig during their tenth cig break of the day.

They’re like crack heads and suck the productivity out of their office.

Serious question, what makes people want to even try smoking?

I've never smoked a cigarette in my life. Smoked marijuana, but never had the desire to smoke a cigarette. My dad smoked and I always hated the smell, I knew it was hard for him to kick the habit, etc so I just never wanted to try it. Why would people want to try them knowing that they are harmful?

I honestly don't know what drives people to puff on a cig for the first time...only thing I can think of is they're trying to look cool as all frick

Let's just ban everything unhealthy or dangerous.

Most smokers probably start in their teen years so I'm sure that's the case. That's why I started.

My friends did it in high school and I wanted to fit in. Of course you need friends to understand this phenomenon

I smoked for a long time. Pretty much the same with me.

I haven't smoked cigs in years but I do enjoy a good cigar about once per week or so.
