The angle of that warning seems off. It should be pointed more to the north. Based on the NWS Twitter, it’s gonna be closer to port Vincent than French settlement.

Velocity looks like there was probably a tornado a little while ago. It looks weaker now

Mother Nature really hates Louisiana. The weather has been fricking over the decent/growing parts of the state the past few years.

The National Weather Service in New Orleans has issued a * Tornado Warning for... Central Ascension Parish in southeastern Louisiana... North central St. James Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Central Livingston Parish in southeastern Louisiana... Southwestern Tangipahoa Parish in southeastern Louisiana... * Until 945 AM CDT. * At 906 AM CDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado was located over Gonzales, moving northeast at 20 mph. HAZARD...Tornado. SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely. * This dangerous storm will be near... French Settlement, Port Vincent and Whitehall around 935 AM CDT. Other locations impacted by this tornadic thunderstorm include Killian. This includes the following Interstates... Interstate 10 in Louisiana between mile markers 174 and 187. Interstate 12 between mile markers 18 and 36. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... TAKE COVER NOW! Move to an interior room on the lowest floor of a sturdy building. Avoid windows. Gonzales here. Winds were extremely bad for a bit here. Warning came in on phone seconds after it started. NWS Radar seems to indicate it was headed northeast and passed within half a mile of here. Seems to show an obvious debris field too forming.

That warning and polygon was issued by the NWS office that covers the area. So, it was the NWS that posted the warning and the associated polygon. What you are comparing is one and the same.

No tornado but 3.5" of rain since this morning when I dumped the 1.5" out of my rain gauge, Legacy Court off Coursey in big BR.
