so what exactly should one do about this?
Now if you progress to second degree or third you might need a pacemaker. However, they don’t THINK AV block brought on by fitness makes one anymore likely to progress to 2nd or 3rd degree at a greater rate than the general population

Mine's about 60 flat...
When I marathoned it was in the upper 40s...
I'm also the size of a Giraffe so our species HR is lower than you humans

well good
last time I gave blood, they measured my heart rate at 46
I fit your description perfectly, so you had me slightly concerned for a few seconds

I freaked out for a while when they told me I had it. But then calmed down when they still cleared my physical and said almost 40% of my team also had it
The body is a weird thing. I followed up on my own when I turned 30 and I still had it, but cardiologist said it may disappear one day, and if not don’t worry about it unless I ever show symptoms

you need to work out harder
However, it’s more impressive and shows a strong heart the higher you can push your heart rate
So it’s just a massive fail

Except, that’s exactly what it is
Having a HR drop to 40 or so during sleep is no direct indication of atrioventricular block. Having a resting HR during the day sitting up down near 40 is indeed a concern and is well within the brady range, hell even mine at 48-50 is cause for pause but my heart data v BPM via Oura and Wahoo downloads are reviewed by my inhouse heart mechanic.

Just got finished mowing the lawn. At about 70 currently

I just like to come in these threads when people brag about their low 40s, to let them know they likely have heart block and watch the brag turn into fear

55-65 resting.
65-75 if I’m up moving around.
135-180 during workouts depending on the intensity.

Getting to 180 is solid. Not many people can get to that

I'm a runner so I have a runner's heart. It usually hovers somewhere between 45-55 BPM though I have seen it get as low as 38 BPM on an EKG before. It absolutely freaked the Physician's Assistant out when she saw those numbers. She made me go to a cardiologist to get tested before I was officially selected to be my dad's bone marrow donor (he got diagnosed with AML back in 2017).

Mine is usually 75-85. I have had a stroke and have heart issues. So whatever it's beating at is great to me.

Getting in cardio shape to the point you have a heart rate of 42 goes hand in hand with 1st degree heart block, also known as “runners heart”
You are speaking to a diagnosed case most don’t know they have it because they never get an EKG
