Super-day is an investment banking term mostly. They bring a bunch of recruits on a particular day and put them through the interview car wash.

The advice of don’t interview unless it’s on someone else’s dime is dumb. I paid my own for an interview and got a job that has significantly changed the trajectory of my career. If I hadn’t, they’d have just settled for a local candidate and who knows what I’d be doing. It was a risk I took, but it worked out for me.

My guess is it’s one of the charter school groups in NYC...and using the term to compare their $65k/yr job to that of an investment banker.

Then in OP doesn't define Super Day BUT feels that explaining NYC is an expensive city is important.
