$1,900 per eye

Holy crap. I paid $2000 for both eyes and that included upgrading to the more customized lasik and bladeless flap

rip off, average price is $800 an eye

as far as what to expect, odds are very high that you will need glasses again in 10 years if you are lucky enough that they can fix your bad vision

Is 59 too old to have lasik? I see fine up close, and okay at a not too far distance until it gets dark. My right eye is definitely the weaker.

Nope. The doctor who did mine told me about how he had just done the procedure for an 83 year old lady.

LASIK

Changed my life.

It is amazing not having glasses or contacts as a crutch in life.

After having to keep my eyes shut for almost 24 hrs post surgery, it felt like I had sand in my eyes for a few days after and then I felt normal. I just had to be careful not to rub my eyes for I think it was a few weeks afterwards.

Glare has gotten worse since surgery but not to the point that I just can't function without sunglasses. I do have a slight halo effect in one eye but it doesn't affect my sight.

Jeffery Singer in Metairie about a year and a half ago. Best $2k I've ever spent. Went from -5.50 and -5.0 contact Rx to 20/10 after lasik

The feeling that u should have done it much sooner. Dry/sensitive eyes for a couple days and that's about it.

Lusk doesn't use metal clamps. He uses suction cups. Doesn't hurt, just gives you super red eyes.

Laser cuts the flap instead of a blade.

I had it done almost 17 years ago. Took less than 10 minutes on the operating table.

I've had perfect vision with no complications ever since that day. Best money I've ever spent.

I still had a bit of dry eye a few years down the line.

The biggest problem for me is it messed with my contrast sensitivity. A poorly lit area is even more difficult for me to see in than before the surgery. On the flip side, I almost have to have sunglasses on for a bright day as the sun bothers me. But, these problems are no worse than what I dealt with with glasses or contacts.

The only pain I had was when they pressured up my eyeball. The smell of burning flesh was gross, too.

I got it done at 18, and everything is still good at 30. Dr. Singer performed the surgery. Do it, and never look back. It's the best!

Expect you kicking yourself for not having lasik sooner once you benefit from results
