That's good to hear. I have a couple of friends who work there, and no word yet.

I have a friend that works there. I haven't heard anything good or bad on him. I'm assuming since I haven't heard anything that's good news.

Im here now at work. Still count of 3 dead and one unaccounted for. Several injuries, have had helicopters and ambulances lined up. It's very bad.

According to our salesman, someone was welding on a fuel condensate tank in the boiler area and it exploded.

We do occasional tall oil shipments to them, so we have a few contacts. Just heard from my boss that they were welding on a line/tank that either contained turpentine or a stripper for turpentine, which would be in the pulp mill area. Both very flammable.

Worked on the tracks they run on in there for more than a decade, one thing I'll never miss having gotten back to South Texas is working in the paper mills around the ArkLaTex, glad your FIL is good, prayers up for the others not so lucky.

Luckily my company doesn't typically do work in the pulp mill area. Prayers to all who are affected. My biggest fear being a safety manager is having to break this news to one of my employees family in the event something catastrophic happens.

We also provide a lot of products to this mill and service them as well. When I heard I called everybody from my company that could of possibly been there. I was at the mill last week and one of my sales guys was there Monday.

I do believe they are doing a shutdown right now, but I am not sure what areas are cold.

Big mill wide shutdown going on. Contractors welding on a tank and it blew. Either because of the contents of the tank or the gases that got in it. It's a bad deal.

Prayers sent for everyone involved.

I know a few people who work out there, hope they're all okay.

We used to run cross country in the wooded area in front of the plant back in HS.

I just found out that my cousin is working out there as a fire watch. She is fine but her supervisor was one of the casualties.

13 years in practice it gets easier to tell a patient they have a terminal condition, but the empathy is still as strong.
