From the girlfriends pov....
Read the whole thread. Went through the same thing almost down to a T... minus the abuse. Had a lot of personal family problems which led to financial problems although I wasn't and have never been irresponsible with money.
Also excluding no sex. We rocked each other's world almost every night and if not that night then the morning before work, never skipped a beat...probably kept us together at some points..
All I can say is make a choice and stick with it. Going back and forth is miserable & benefits no one. The breakup made me realize how my day to day behavior (with a combination of his) affected us both. I will never act like I did with him again (constant reassurance, possessive with his time, upset about stupid shite, monthly "talks"). Some people learn from their mistakes but first they have to go through the rough to get there.... I know I learned but I honestly have friends that have gone through this repeatedly and never change their behavior & probably never will. Luckily I'm young and have time to work on myself before thinking about marriage.
Also, prepare for all of your friends (even best friends you never imagined..) will go for her if she's as great as you say. It was shocking how quickly that happened....
