Hanging around the bar until they turned the lights on loses it's luster when you already have a girl you're going home with. So there's that.
In the few years after graduating, I'd tear one off when back in BR because I felt like I was missing out on what I used to do, but it was never as fun anymore. When back home I never stayed out much past midnight when drinking. Drank once a week with guys from work to blow off steam. But then I just got annoyed being around the same drunk people and that started to not get fun. Since then, I really don't get hammered or go out very often.
I think it just ties back to chasing pussy. It's not all its cracked up to be if you aren't hoping to hit it off with some random girl. Otherwise you get tired and your nights start to naturally end a lot earlier

I still like to get out now and then and kick up my heels.
And yes, I'm a old person.

I'm only 30, so I don't even consider myself old. And it's not that a wife and kids "drag me down". I have my freedom for a night out. And I do it on rare occasion. It's just not that exciting anymore.
Used to be that if I had to get up early on a Saturday morning to go fishing or something, then I was going to just have to deal with my hangover from Friday night, because no way I was missing going out. Now, I'd much rather be in bed at 9 so that my day of fishing is more enjoyable.

25 once I got so busy after college but I'll still go hard every so often but not as regularly.
Where I live now....i spend more time outdoors too so I don't want to blow days sleeping in and such

You've answered your own question for most people. In our early 30's when we started having children we had a wake up call that smoking, drinking, partying, etc. was not a healthy environment for our kids.

When you wake up alone one day in a shitty rent house and look at your droopy face with capillary nose in the mirror you may regret having lived an alcoholic life in a barroom.

Well hell, most of y'all are right about once having kids, the party is over.
But, once the kids fly the coop, the party is back on.
More so once one retires.

49. Still going. I just go in spurts now. Not as easy as it once was
But I refuse to give up. I just need a longer running start.

Around 19 for me. Hangovers were already awful and I needed the few brain cells left for college.
