There a a few right-leaning teachers there. Mostly they are left. Some are right down middle. There are no nuns left at the school. They’ve all been chopped or retired.
Contraryman mentioned something from years back. There was a black woman who came to speak to the faculty and students after the George Floyd incident. The faculty mostly bought into her crap. The students themselves had an assembly and told the parents they were told they were a pretty much racist school. The parents got on the telephone. That was the end of that as she was hired to speak more times throughout the year.
Girls at that place go through phases and sometimes gay is a phase. They outgrow it.
But a friend of mine’s daughter was recently fired from there bc it was found out she married another woman. They’re a don’t ask, don’t tell bunch. There are gay faculty and students who are probably smart enough to keep it to themselves.

Why is that school so liberal? I remember a few years ago they had a pro-abortion speaker come talk about how her abortion was the best decision she ever made...seems very out of line with sending your kids to a Catholic $$school.

Who should alumni contact to voice their concerns?
Members of the board.
I can promise you what they’re really looking for is someone who can still raise the dinero. Cash is still king even if Jesus is, too. That place is a cash cow. Look at the other private school. St Michael’s can in no way compete. Parkview has been trending down since early 2000’s. Dunham still has an audience but it cannot grow where it wants. Episcopal is for the mega rich by BR standards. CLA I have no idea and don’t even think they’re around. Brighton is for special ed only. Am I missing anyone? Money and scholarship offers are the name of the game.

Honestly, this sounds like a bunch of overly-dramatized bullshite.
Nothing but political rhetoric….

St. Joseph’s is barely a Catholic school. Catholic does such a great job on formation. The boys come out of school with an understanding of their faith, church doctrine, and the critic thinking skills to determine if it is right for them.
St Joseph’s has a very leftist ideology permeating throughout the faculty. Some teachers are hostile towards students who lean right or express agreement with traditional Catholic beliefs.

As a leftist, I am for gay marriage, abortion, etc.
I am NOT for transitioning kids or promoting men in girls locker rooms.
None of that stuff is OK. Just because you pick and choose to agree with some of those heinous things and not others doesn't make you any better off in the long run. Its all despicable.

How is this not a blasphemous sexualized mockery of Jesus’s sacrifice?
How are there still Christians who maintain that Jesus sacrificed himself only for their individual, limited worldviews?

All these schools that organize the march for life trip to dc is so cringe

If I had to do it all over again, I wouldn’t have sent my daughter to SJA for those reasons stated in the OP. Education wise, it’s a very good academic school that prepared her well for college. But you can argue the school focuses more on social justice indoctrination than it does the Body of Christ. It’s not a diocesan school so Duka has no say over their curriculum. Our experience at Catholic High was 100 times better.
Ditto this on all points.
